Azerbaijan-Hungary working group holds meeting in ICT field
A meeting of Azerbaijan-Hungary working group was held in the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT) in accordance with the agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of National Development of Hungary in the establishment of Regional Information Center in the Republic of Azerbaijan and in the field of innovative technologies.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Communications and High Technologies Elmir Velizadeh said the ICT and telecommunications sector has its place in the development of relations based on friendship and trust between the two countries.
Speaking about the work carried out in this area in our country, the Deputy Minister said the work on establishment of Data Processing and Storage Center (DPSC) in Azerbaijan at the Tier III level for the first time in the region has already started. The guests were informed on the activities of DPSC, its principle of operation, as well as the areas of service.
In turn, Deputy Minister of National Development of Hungary Károly Balázs Solymár, who led the Hungarian delegation, expressed satisfaction with the deepening of close and reliable cooperation between the two countries. Saying Azerbaijan is a fast-developing country, the guest expressed his country’s interest in further expansion of cooperation in the field of ICT, in particular expressed their willingness to contribute to the establishment of the DPSC.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views in detail on other issues of mutual interest.
