Top News11.11.2015 09:51 Azerbaijan represented in Internet Governance Forum
The 10th Internet Governance Forum (IGF) has kicked off today in the city of João Pessoa, Brazil. The event will run until November 13. The issues of information society and Internet governance will be discussed at the high-level event. The main theme of this year’s forum is “Evolution of Internet Governance: Empowering Sustainable Development”. Cybersecurity and trust, the Internet economy, inclusiveness and diversity, openness, enhancing multistakeholder cooperation, the Internet and human rights, critical Internet resources, and emerging issues will be discussed at the forum. Our country at the International Forum will be represented by Jeyran Amiraslanova, senior adviser of the department of socio-political issues of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration. The forum will also be attended by the employees of Baku office of UN Development Programme (UNDP) Nariman Hajiyev, Vasif Mammadov, Natig Murshudov, and Azerbaijani representative to IGF Jala Hajiyeva.Remind that the 7th Internet Governance Forum was held in Azerbaijan on 6-9 November 2012 within the framework of the exhibition and conference Bakutel.
