Top News03.12.2015 16:43 Baku hosts 3rd Regional Internet Governance Forum
 The 3rd Regional Internet Governance Forum (RIGF) has kicked off today in Baku on the theme “Creating Regional Development Environment of ICT Innovations”. The forum is organized under the joint organization of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan (MCHT), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and ADA University. It should be noted that the Regional Internet Governance Forum held in Azerbaijan for the first time in 2012, and the same year Baku hosted the 7th Global Internet Governance Forum. The purpose of the event is to discuss current issues, as well as a variety of ways to introduce the Internet to achieve a more productive and effective regional economic development and cultural progress, including organizing cooperation and the exchange of experience between the Azerbaijani and international experts working in the field of ICT. Interesting topics such as “Transforming Education through Technologies”, and “ Cyber Security for Privacy and Innovation - Initiatives of the Regional Cyber Security Alliances” will be discussed during the event. In general, the two-day event, 250-300 people from government agencies, business representatives, diplomatic delegates, experts in the areas of science and civil society of Azerbaijan and other countries will discuss actual problems related to the Internet.
