WB interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in ICT sector
Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. A meeting was held at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan with the delegation of the World Bank, led by the Sector Manager for the ICT Sector Randeep Sudan.
According to APA-Economics, the meeting, which was attended by heads of departments, heads of associations and enterprises of the ministry, focused on the ICT projects in Azerbaijan.
Sudan touched upon the rapid development of ICT sector in Azerbaijan. He expressed the World Bank was interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan on 3 directions: “These - broadband, cyber security and the establishment of e-government. We believe that the projects undertaken by Azerbaijan in these areas deserve attention and we are interested in cooperation”.
Head of Law and HR Department Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies Bakhtiyar Mammadov informed the guests about ongoing projects in the sector, large-scale activities in direction of building of e-government, digitize government services.
At the end of the meeting, heads of associations and enterprises of the Ministry told about their ongoing activities, and jointly discussed the possibility of cooperation with the World Bank.
