We intend to expand cooperation between Italian and Azerbaijani companies
Manuela Traldi, President of the Italian-Azerbaijani Trade Institute.
- Our organization was established in 2012 to promote economic and trade relations between our two countries. We work closely with government institutions in both countries, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Rome and the Italian one in Baku, and organize regular missions to Azerbaijan by Italian delegations of entrepreneurs in different sectors. I believe that the areas of most interest to Italian companies at the moment, apart from the traditional oil and gas sector, are infrastructure, construction, tourism, alternative energy and, of course, ICT. That is why we are here coordinating the Italian pavilion at Bakutel 2013. This is my first time at this major event. We are here with six Italian companies, whose specialities cover different areas of ICT in the aerospace and defence industries, programmes for "smart cities", and other areas of technology.
In the future, our organization intends to support the presence of Italian companies at other exhibitions in Baku. I am very impressed with Azerbaijan, your capital city and, of course, the exhibition centre, the exposition itself and the number of participants. I am very grateful for the opportunity to visit Baku, which has been organized in cooperation with senior officials at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan, who kindly invited us to participate in this exhibition. I am sure that more companies from Italy will be here next year.
